Greetings Fellow Mustangers,

The final accounting for the Dads & Grads Show is in and the Board and Officers determined our contribution to the Lexington Rescue Mission would be $2,500.  On Friday, July18th, Roy Mundy, Dan Abner, Dave Link and I presented the check to Jim Connell at LRM’s Glen Arvin location.  

It’s been a busy month for the club, with Dads & Grads behind us, now we find ourselves in the middle of the car show season.  Even with the price of gas, car enthusiasts are finding their way to many of the local shows.  Many of our club members are participating and are usually standing tall at the awards presentations.  

BMCers had a nice evening at the Sky-Vue Drive-In in Winchester , where we enjoyed Wall-E and Hancock movies and club sponsored popcorn and soft drinks.  Thanks to Larry Mullins for the invitation.  

Unfortunately, the annual gathering at the Greer’s for the Brickyard 400 has been cancelled.  In conversations with Mr. Greer, he expressed his inability to host the picnic.  Due to timing, a new location was not identified soon enough to alter our plans.  We’ll try again next year.  

The Waveland Mustang & All Ford Show & Shine is coming up August 23^rd. Now is the time to get the word out.  You will be receiving a flyer by email shortly.  Feel free to copy it and distribute it at car events you may attend.  

In September we will have our last McDonalds Cruise-in for 2008.  Flyers will be available shortly….so get the word out!  

Roy Mundy will be officiating the August meeting of the club as Cynthia and I will be in California .  We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first grandchild who is due any day now.
